Laser lipolysis

Laser lipolysis is a form of laser procedure that breaks fat cells apart and melts them with heat from fiber-optic lasers. This procedure helps to lose weight and get rid of extra body fat in a couple of simple and very effective steps.

After determining the area where the procedure will be performed, your surgeon will place the applicator. Once the procedure starts, you might feel cold at the beginning around the area. It’ll take around half an hour to complete the process, and when the fat is melted, it will be absorbed by your body.

A very small incision, generally around a millimeter, is enough to extract the unwanted fat from the body. This minimal procedure also reduces the infection risk, and the healing process is very short. You can go back to your daily life right after the procedure.

More Details on Laser Lipolysis

Liposuction requires vacuuming the fat from the body, but in laser lipolysis, fat cells are melted with heat, and it goes out from your system naturally.

During liposuction, if there is any sagging around the area where fat is extracted, it needs another procedure to tighten or remove the extra skin.

On the other hand, laser lipolysis tightens and smoothens the skin without any other procedure.

You do not need to wear a corset or restrict any of your actions except working out for the first week.

You may feel tender or spot redness and swelling after the operation, but they will disappear in a day or two.

When compared to classic liposuction procedures, laser lipolysis causes less trauma as there is no bleeding during the operation. As there is no cannula used, laser lipolysis doesn’t cause any irregulated look or sagging too. This is why laser lipolysis is also used for retouching operations.
